The first fully functional and playable guitar built with my recently assembled shapeoko-style CNC router. It took me a while to set up the complete toolchain from digital design to production. I used Inkscape for the basic design sketches, Rhino for 3D modeling and CAD/CAM preparation and Estlcam to generate the g-codes. For visualization and photorealistic renderings I used Blender.
It is made completely from local wood: The body is spruce, the neck is maple and the fretboard is damson. The frets are vintage slim and I used a two-way trussrod. The finish of the body is nitrocellulose, the neck has an oil-finish.
